Mark Twain said it well:

The two most important days of your life are 1) the day you were born and 2) The day you discovered why!

I was captivated by the TV series "Kung Fu," starring David Carradine, which aired from late 1972 to 1975.  This TV series followed the life of (Kwai Chang Caine) who was admitted to the Shaolin temple in Henan Provence in China at the age of 12 where he learned the inner wisdom, deep-respect, inner and outer strength and discipline finding his true purpose through what he was taught by his mentors.

The Shaolin temple was a place of daily meditation and other practices where attendance was seen as a sign of commitment to one's spiritual journey. Kwai Chang Caine always appeared at the temple each day, regardless of the weather. Once, during a brutal downpour, he stood resolutely in front of the temple as the only person while all the others ran for shelter. Rain drenched his robes and stung his skin, yet he remained unmoved, his eyes fixed on the temple doors as he silently vowed never to falter. His unwavering determination and deep longing to be admitted set him apart, showing the depth of his dedication and the strength of his spirit. 

As a 12-year-old in 1972, I identified with young Kwi Cang Caine and decided that someday, I would find a spiritual teacher that would help me discover my inner purpose and fulfill Mark Twain’s idea of living the second most important day of my life. A day where I would discover why I was born and what my true nature and purpose was.

At 23, in 1983, I woke to a radio show interpreting dreams for callers. After calling in, I learned that the dying geese from my dream symbolized parts of myself fading away. I was making my daily agendas more important than my "inner messages.” This made me realize the importance of balancing my outward achievements with nurturing my inner soul. I knew immediately that this woman who interpreted my dream spoke the truth.

She introduced me to a school that taught dream interpretation, focus, listening, meditation, visualization, how to use our healing innate energy as well as a host of other abilities. The school also taught Universal Laws and ways to practice creation using the subtlest of energies. By practicing daily exercises for the purpose of connecting to our inner infinite source, I discovered an entire world that always existed under the veneer surface of my now eroding perception of life. 

I spent 7 years (3 and 4 nights each week) learning about and teaching people how to reach, deeply connect with and understand the nature of who they were at the deepest level through being a mentor on a weekly basis. Some of my students stayed with the program for years. I can say that when a new student would initiate the first exercise taught by me and committed to performing it for three weeks, I would hardly recognize them! It was like seeing a person two-dimensionally transform to become three-dimensional like opening a “pop-up” book. I would see them awaken an inner connection that they had not had since they became domesticated by family and cultural rules and expectations as a child. I look forward to assisting you to release your bonds of these physical limits!

After leaving this metaphysical-school, I pursued other studies such as organizing open meetings focused on harmony between humans and nature where nature would contribute the gift of balance if asked for any circumstance. 

I worked various jobs from delivering newspapers at age 13 to working part-time at McDonald’s during high school. Later, I paid for college by serving as an attendant counselor for developmentally disabled children full time for the State of Washington, which taught me about personal vulnerability and compassion.

During graduate school, I designed and developed innovative fluorinated, non-toxic blood substitutes that enabled the creation of synthetic blood without the need for blood typing and with no risk of disease transmission.

While teaching “metaphysics” at night, I was hired as an aerospace engineer at Tinker AFB. I later joined the EPA's Federal Investigation and Technical Assistance Teams, handling chemical emergencies across four states and developing a hands-on chemistry program for fire departments to improve their response to spills. I also traveled to India to assist the State of Maharashtra near Bombay to develop their disaster management plans.

I wrote and published the “Comprehensive Planning Document” for the EPA which went out to industry throughout the United States to help manufacturing facility owners organize understand their chemical reporting requirements for OSHA, EPA and the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Later I owned and operated United Services Environmental (US Environmental) by serving over 80 clients in 18 states by tracking and reporting all their local, State and Federal chemical reporting requirements by tracking the amounts, locations and reporting thresholds using software developed in-house and providing defensible documentation as an “inspection showpiece”

I married 20 years ago and helped raise a creative, sensitive daughter who is now preparing for college. Fifteen years ago, my marriage ended, allowing me to more recently reconnect with my current partner Denise Rodgers after being apart for over 30 years.

I transferred my clients from US Environmental to Tetra Tech when I relocated to the Northeast. Ten years ago, I entered the electric, natural gas, solar, and EV station industry, and recently partnered with Denise to launch the Energy Enhancement System in Austin, Texas.

My mission is to co-found a school with Denise Rodgers that teaches universal laws, fosters deep spiritual connection, and mentor people thirsty for knowledge and experience through transformative exercises to help them discover their true nature and purpose.
